The story is based on a scene from a horror film, in which a young blonde woman, Ashley , runs at full speed through a forest in the middle of the night to escape a killer.
It soon becomes clear that Andrew, a young film buff, is watching this 80s horror film and is constantly criticising it.
He keeps getting annoyed and making comments like: “Is this really supposed to be scary?
Until Larry, the film’s iconic killer, mysteriously becomes aware of Andrew’s incessant comments.
He begins to hear all of Andrew’s criticisms and in turn becomes annoyed.
Meanwhile, Andrew , who hasn’t realised it yet, picks up his phone to write a negative review of the film.
Suddenly he finds himself face to face with the killer Larry, who has crossed the screen and violently throws Andrew back into the film through the television, challenging him to do better than him by killing the remaining victims.
Andrew, now a prisoner of the film, rises to the challenge.
He heads for the chalet where the last two survivors are hiding: Ashley, the beautiful blonde, and Steve, the athletic hunk.
After a complicated chase set to pop-rock music, Andrew ends up breaking Ashley‘s fingernail.
The latter goes into a black rage, bordering on the paranormal, and the hunter becomes the hunted.
She ends up grabbing Andrew and disfiguring him with her 9 remaining fingernails.
Larry is enjoying the show, sitting comfortably on Andrew’s sofa.
