Hua, the dragon guardian of spring, is bored in the grotto of the clock of the seasons and is pacing up and down.

He’s impatient and can’t stand waiting for his turn, surrounded by little spirits. When none of them pay any attention to him, he rolls the ball he uses as a cursor and a sound is heard.

Hua quickly leaves the cave as the spirits try to stop her, and discovers the winter forest.

He starts running and spreads spring, making flowers and grass grow wherever he goes. The spirits look at him in confusion.

He runs along a tree trunk and arrives above the forest. Admiring his surroundings, he extends his power over the trees.

The atmosphere is peaceful until he hears the sound of ice cracking under the trees.

He comes down and discovers that the forest he has just brought into bloom is frozen solid again. He puts his paws on the ground and starts to spread spring, but the grass quickly freezes.

Surprised, he looks up and meets Xue, the turtle who is the guardian of winter.

He spreads the spring again, annoyed. A spirit is on Xue’s head.

She gets angry and freezes the region.

He tries again to spread spring, and the tortoise waits until the last moment to react.

She sent a wave of ice to destabilise him, then a second, propelling Hua backwards. He quickly counterattacks, sending bamboo through the ground, but the tortoise narrowly avoids it.

Their powers collide violently, covering the forest in a huge cloud of smoke. Both are thrown backwards. Hua rises to his feet alone to find Xue injured.

Hua understands what he has done and takes a moment to realise it. He removes the spring from the forest and everything returns to normal: the bark reattaches and the cracks in the ground disappear. He helps Xue to her feet and decides to leave the forest.

Back in the cave, he pushes the ball back to where it was at the start. The spirits are happy and he lies down to wait his turn.
