Immerse yourself in the adventure of a lonely boy who meets a strange flower-growing creature.
As friendship and respect grow between them, a conflict threatens to jeopardise all that.
Fleeing the villagers in the night, an orphan, Milo, ends up taking refuge in an abandoned hut and falls asleep.
The next morning, he discovers the strange creature who gives flowers to the villagers every week.
He’s actually at home.
Frightened at first, he eventually realises that the creature is not so bad because it offers him soup to keep warm.
This is where he discovers all the flowers surrounding the creature in the greenhouse.
Intrigued, he watches her work in her greenhouse. It’s a magnificent place. There are some fantastic plants, and in the middle of the room, a brilliant flower on a pile of earth.
Greedy Milo tries to steal a cup, but strangely Mr Flower doesn’t get angry: he gives him a seed instead.
For weeks, Mr Flower taught her how to look after the flowers.
Milo learns not only about gardening, but also about commitment, respect and friendship.
One day, Mr Flower picks the plants for distribution, including Milo’s flower. This sends Milo into a frenzy.
Milo destroys the greenhouse. He throws the pots, knocks over the cart and crushes the bright flower.
Mr Flower collapses in a heap of earth. The boy realises his mistake. He tries to replant the shiny flower, but nothing works.
After a night of mourning, Milo wakes up.
Dirt has appeared on his arm and a flower has grown on the pile of earth that Mr Flower has become. Milo realises that he must take on the role of his mentor.
He goes off to the village to offer flowers to the villagers.
