In a secluded old castle, Oskar, a massive recomposed creature, climbs into the laboratory of what appears to be his creator, to proudly present the doll he has just created to the Doctor.

While he shows the Doctor that he has managed to do something and create a doll himself, the Doctor is completely absorbed in his work, and has no time for such trivia.

In disdain, it rejects him rather curtly, causing the creature’s stuffed toy to fall to the ground. The creature picks up his stuffed toy, looking sad and offended.

Oskar, disappointed, turns his head and discovers the Doctor’s new project: under a sheet he lifts, Gott’s perfect body.

Furious, the doctor expels Oskar from the laboratory while thunder rumbles outside.

The energy of a bolt of lightning revives Gott, who attacks the doctor violently. Alerted by the screams, Oskar manages to wrestle Gott to the ground.

As Oskar and the Doctor finally share a moment of complicity, the indestructible Gott rises to his feet and strangles the Doctor. Despite his wounds, Oskar dives on Gott and the two creatures pass through the castle’s large window.

The Doctor stands up, devastated, and looks at the broken window. Later, the Doctor leaves the castle and his laboratory, his suitcase in one hand and Oskar’s doll in the other.

On the way, his footsteps echoed heavily in the silence of the ruins he left behind.

Every object in the laboratory, every shard of glass, reminds him of the immoderation of his ambition and the price of his pride.

The doll he holds close to him, the last vestige of Oskar’s clumsy affection, becomes the symbol of a failure as much as a regret.

As he walks away, the castle still stands in the stormy night, dark and empty, like a scar set in stone.

The Doctor disappears into the shadows, condemned to bear alone the memory of his creatures and the tragedy he created.
