Eliott is caught in the violent waves, swept along by the current and gradually unable to lift his head out of the water to catch his breath.
He eventually managed to cling with difficulty to a branch, holding on to the cardboard representing his father.
Meanwhile, Isaac, who has heard Eliott’s cries, hurries to catch up with him by running along the river. He climbs a few stones and finally reaches the tree Eliott is clinging to.
He holds out his hand and shouts at him to take it. But Eliott won’t be able to take his brother’s hand if he keeps the cardboard daddy.
So it was with a heavy heart that he let go of the box, and watched it float away for a few seconds.
He grabs Isaac’s hand and pulls him out of the water.
