Eliott and Isaac, two brothers aged 7 and 10, play in their imaginary world with their dad.

In this world, they are attacked by a terrifying monster, but Dad is the superhero who will save them.

Suddenly, in the excitement of the game, Papa falls over, revealing that he is in fact a cardboard figurine.

An argument breaks out between the children. Isaac angrily throws the cardboard dad into the nearby river, shouting that it’s not a real dad.

Eliott immediately set off to rescue the box, slipped and ended up falling into the torrent.

Eliott is caught in the violent waves, swept along by the current and gradually unable to lift his head out of the water to catch his breath.

He eventually managed to cling with difficulty to a branch, holding on to the cardboard representing his father.

Meanwhile, Isaac, who has heard Eliott’s cries, hurries to catch up with him by running along the river. He climbs a few stones and finally reaches the tree Eliott is clinging to.

He holds out his hand and shouts at him to take it. But Eliott won’t be able to take his brother’s hand if he keeps the cardboard daddy.

So it was with a heavy heart that he let go of the box, and watched it float away for a few seconds.

He grabs Isaac’s hand and pulls him out of the water.

Once out of danger, Isaac admits that he misses their father too. The two brothers return home to get a first-aid kit.

In the living room, a man is watching television. Isaac tells him that Eliott has fallen in the water, but the man remains impassive.

Eliott calms Isaac down before he can confront the man, telling him he’s not a real dad.

Through this little adventure, Eliott and Isaac learn that brotherly love can sometimes hide behind anger and clumsiness.
