Character animator in the biggest animation and VFX studio in Europe, Benoît Bargeton was recruited by FrameStore, in London, to work on the special effects of “Gravity”, created by Alfonso Cuarón, and starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

More recently, the former ESMA student was involved in “Despicable Me 2”, the famous movie created by Illumination MacGuff studio. These experiences on movies in live action are the logical result of a career path in animation, inclined towards cartoon. It was the case on “Mission Christmas” (Aardman and Sony Pictures) and “A Monster in Paris ” (EuropaCorp and Bibo Films).

Benoit Bargeton is also one of the co-directors of the short film “Ex-ET”.
This end-of-studies movie, realized at ESMA in 2008, has won that year the Jury Special Prize, and has been elected “Best film for young audience” at Annecy festival.
“Ex-ET” has also been awarded in Monaco (Imagina), in Great Britain (Animex), in Italy (X-Science and Cortoons) and in China (CICAF).
