Regular visitors to the various ESMA campuses, the Illumination MacGuff studio did not deviate from the rule this year by coming to meet our students and discover their final projects.
A RELATIONSHIP OF TRUST BETWEEN PROFESSIONALS AND SCHOOLS
The Illumination MacGuff studio has become a key player on the French and international scene thanks to the quality of its projects. It is always a pleasure for us to receive its representatives so that they can meet the new generation of students, those ready to join the professional world.
After a general digital conference presenting the studio and its specificities, Amélie Paraïso – Head of Recruitment – and Mathilde Chambras – Senior Recruitment Manager – went directly to the different campuses to meet the 4th year students of CG Animation & FX Master Degree and discuss with them about their final film. The Toulouse campus was able to benefit from the exceptional visit of Mathieu Blanchys,
former ESMA student and Character Surfacing Supervisor, who came to discover the students’ projects and give them an expert commentary.
With the end-of-study jury approaching, these meetings are a privileged moment for our students, who benefit from a professional view of their production. It is also a time of exchange that allows them to learn about their next entry into the world of work.

ILLUMINATION MACGUFF, A STUDIO WITH WORLDWIDE SUCCESS
The Illumination MacGuff studio has quickly earned an indisputable reputation for the quality of its productions: Despicable Me (1 to 3), The Minions (1 & 2), Like Beasts (1 & 2), The Grinch (1 & 2) and The Lorax. Its fame is such that Nintendo wanted the studio to be in charge of making the Super Mario bros film.
The birth of this studio is the result of the meeting of Illumination Entertainment and the Mac Guff Line studio. A real “professional love at first sight” took place and the result is now known throughout the world.
