At dawn, 16-year-old Jad spends some time on the roof of the building where he lives with his older brother Bilal, drawing in his notebook and letting his imagination run wild.
Since the death of their parents, Bilal has taken over the family hardware business and is doing everything he can to keep it afloat. He soon calls Jad to help him deliver the shop’s orders.
Reluctantly, the young boy obeys, torn between his sense of duty and his desire to devote more time to drawing.
School is a breath of fresh air for him, a place where he can catch up with his friends and forget for a moment the responsibilities that await him at the shop. But on the way home, as his watch reminds him that he has to get back, Jad discovers a wall covered in impressive graffiti.
Fascinated by the colours and energy of these paintings, he spends a moment observing them, intrigued by this form of expression that seems to transform emotions into images.
When he finally arrives at the shop, Bilal greets him angrily for being late and hands him his work clothes.
That evening, over dinner, he tells her about a difficult decision: his finances are too fragile and Jad will have to drop out of school to work full-time in the shop.
The news deeply upset the young boy, who suddenly saw his dreams and the freedom he had found in drawing crumble.
Looking for a way to express his feelings, Jad finds spray paint cans in the shop and decides to create a large graffiti on a wall opposite the shop. He spends all night painting, transforming his anger and sadness into a powerful work of art.
In the early hours of the morning, Bilal discovers the fresco and finally understands what his brother was unable to tell him. Faced with this creation, the two brothers remain silent, admiring the work that marks the beginning of a new understanding between them.
