Lewis is a young postman setting out on his daily round. He’s due to make deliveries to a hippie and a car tuner. With every delivery, the parcel matches the stereotype associated with the customer. At the next address, Lewis compares a small pink parcel to a massive, imposing wooden house. Convinced he’s in the wrong place, he gets back on his scooter.
It was at that moment that the parcel was snatched by an animal and carried inside. Lewis spotted the parcel through the window and hurried to knock on the door, which swung open slightly under his knocks. Lewis entered hesitantly and approached the parcel. He is caught red-handed by Castagne, a pet beaver. Castagne chases Lewis, who takes refuge in a cupboard full of axes.
Having narrowly escaped being cut to pieces, Lewis takes refuge under a bearskin to avoid Castagne. With the hide torn to shreds, he abandons it and runs to the living room, where he slams the door in the beaver’s face. Lewis searches for the parcel whilst Castagne starts banging on the door. Panicked, the postman tries to open the only other door to escape. He struggles to use the key that visually matches the door, managing to escape at the last moment with the help of the least obvious key. Lewis has no time to catch his breath before he hears Castagne coming down the corridor.
The postman disguises himself and pretends to be the owner of the house. Convinced, Castagne lets him get close to the parcel. It is at that moment that the figure of the real owner passes by a window. Castagne realises he has been tricked and becomes angry, whilst Lewis flees towards the exit with the parcel. As he runs, he trips over the bearskin and falls at the feet of Oswald, the owner—a burly, lumberjack-like figure who has just returned home. Oswald glares at him menacingly.
Grabbing the pink parcel, Lewis screams and runs in the opposite direction. He ends up in a dark room and falls, crashing into a pillar. Trapped, Lewis screams in fear as he lies on the floor whilst Oswald approaches. The woodcutter suddenly switches on the light, revealing a huge collection of unicorns all around them. Embarrassed and realising his mistake, Lewis hands the parcel to Oswald, who places the unicorn on the pillar in the centre of the room.
The woodcutter then turns to Lewis and embraces him, overjoyed. Back outside, Lewis waves goodbye to Castagne and Oswald before setting off again. A little further on, he arrives at a pink house. Lewis takes out a black, coffin-shaped parcel; he looks at the parcel and the house, somewhat hesitantly, but finally walks towards the door with a smile.
