[Spotted] Our alumni in the credits of Thor: Love and Thunder

News . 15 Jul. 2022

The Nordic god and superhero Thor is back in theaters, five years after the last movie Ragnarök. A new Marvel blockbuster that will delight audiences this summer.

Although a centuries-old god from Norse mythology, Thor Odinson was born in the early 1960s under the pen of the famous and esteemed Stan Lee, the writer Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, the cartoonist. It was not until 2011 that the first film in the saga was released under the simple and effective title: Thor. Thus the god joined the stable of Marvel superheroes and counts no less than the 4th film dedicated to him and in all it is the 9th time he appears in the Marvel cinematographic universe.

For this new opus, it is the New Zealand director Taika Waititi who is in charge of the previous film of the series Thor: Ragnarök. With the growing success of the Thor series, it is likely that a next opus will be released.

The film requires a strong investment in the use of digital images and special effects in order to give life to the creatures, powers and the kingdom of Asgard. Several of our former students from the CG Animation and FX Master Degree contributed to this achievement.
