On the planet Airon, humanity is fighting for survival in an arid world with virtually no water. In the heart of an ancient dried-up ocean, transformed into a desert, an extraction station emerges from the landscape. This imposing structure extracts the remaining water from a half-dried oasis.
Rick is a Mecha pilot, standing in as the station’s last guardian. Members of his squad have died in repeated confrontations with raiders.
Nearby, his Mecha Shark, an imposing 10-metre machine with an aerodynamic design, helps him carry out his task.
Tired and worn down by his many battles, Rick feels the weight of losing his family and being alone in this hostile environment.
While he is carrying the bodies, another colossal mecha named Goliath, much more massive than Shark and carrying an empty tank, approaches the station with the obvious intention of taking the water.
Rick, determined, enters Shark’s cockpit. The two mechs clash, and Rick deploys various strategies to hinder Goliath’s advance towards the oasis, trying to prevent him from getting near the water at all costs.
By the end of the battle, the two mechas had arrived at the heart of the station, not far from the oasis.
Shark is out of action and Goliath is about to hit the water. Rick, enraged, climbs out of his cockpit, climbs Goliath with his bare hands and destroys it by ramming a missile into its mainframe. The titan collapses with a deafening crash, exploding in Rick’s face.
For the first time, we meet Goliath’s pilot , Zeke, a weak, emaciated and dehydrated man. He staggers out of his cockpit and looks around for Rick. Barely able to see the water in the lake, with tears in his eyes, he goes over to drink.
Exhausted, Rick is horrified to discover that the mechas’ fuel is mixing with the oasis water, irreparably corrupting it. The two protagonists remain frozen in shock, sadness and despair in the face of disaster.
