As part of its partnership with the 3 Continents Festival, two groups of 4th year students of CG Animation Cinema and FX from ESMA Nantes gave a lecture to primary school students to make them aware of the world of CG animation.

The film Œil pour Œil has been selected in the category “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Student Project” at the VES Awards! It is the only French student project to have been chosen from this list and the first ESMA film to participate.

The most watched short film on our youtube channel is unveiled! On the first step of the podium, here is Jungle Jail! This film alone, which was released twelve years ago, has had more than 86 million views!

With more than 34 million views, the film Indice 50 has become one of the top 2 most viewed films on our Youtube channel. The directors are working on the project!

A highly symbolic but also very rewarding figure for our students and our teaching staff, our ESMA Movies channel has just exceeded one million subscribers. This is an opportunity for us to prepare a “special” dossier and a competition game for you!

The famous actress Angélina Jolie is back in the cinema to take on the role of Evil once again. As the screening ends in theatres, the film has been at the top of the box office for many weeks. In order to animate the supernatural part of the character of Evil as well as all the extraordinary sets and FX that make up this feature film, many skills and professions are required. Among them, we have several former ESMA students!

Barely a week after its release in the cinema (in France), Frozen 2 explodes the French box office. In one week, more than 2 million spectators crowded into the dark rooms to watch it. We are proud to count among the people who participated in its manufacture, one of our alumni: Ruben Athouel. For several months he joined Walt Disney Animation Studios located in Burbank.
